During covid’s lockdown, we noticed our family was using a lot of paper towels and paper napkins. Not only did it make the table a little sad, it was also horrible for the environment.Â
That’s when we decided to make napkins that were sustainable, and would also make dinner feel special. Â
Through our journey we discovered that many people use paper towels and paper napkins. These are bad for the environment and create a large carbon footprint.Â
They are usually used only once then thrown out. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in 2018, paper products accounted for the third largest proportion of all municipal solid waste (nearly 12%).
By choosing to make napkins out of linen; the napkins are washable, durable and can be used over and over again.Â
